Chef Veronica Rains is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy of San Francisco, California. While attending there, she studied culinary arts and enhanced her vegetarian cooking skills. Upon graduating, she interned at the famous, pioneering, raw food restaurant, Juliano’s RAW in Santa Monica, California and studied the art of preparing raw, vegan foods. She has catered dinner parties and weddings, and has privately prepared vegetarian food for many big wigs all over Los Angeles. Since then, Chef Veronica Rains has become a cooking instructor for the non-profit organization, The Cancer Project, which offers cooking classes across the country for cancer prevention and survival. With TCP, she has taught hundreds of students the art of cooking for better health. Along with this experience, she has also been a featured cooking instructor at Chef’s, Inc. culinary school in Los Angeles, CA and YogaWorks in Santa Monica, CA, as well as host of the online cooking show, Cooking For Care at UnderstandingCancer.tv. In addition to her career in the culinary industry, Chef Veronica Rains is a certified Nutritional Consultant and works with clients to improve their health with delicious, organic, plant-based foods.
Chef Veronica Rains has been a happy vegetarian for over 14 years and plans to be so for another 80 years, at least. She has an ever-evolving yoga practice, enjoys reading, creative writing, cooking, riding her bicycle, and doing handstands.
